AI Edit: Editing Images with AI
The AI Edit tool lets you modify existing images on the canvas using AI-powered editing. Describe the change you want in a text prompt, and AI applies it to the image.
How to use AI Edit
- Select an image layer (AI-generated or uploaded) on the canvas.
- Open the AI Edit tab in the editing panel.
- Describe the change you want (e.g., "remove the background", "make it look vintage", "change the color to blue", "add a sunset glow").
- Click Apply.
- Review the result. If you like it, keep it; if not, undo and try a different prompt.
What AI Edit can do
- Style transfer — "Make it look like watercolor", "Convert to pixel art".
- Color changes — "Change the shirt to red", "Make the background golden".
- Additions — "Add a halo effect", "Add smoke around the edges".
- Removals — "Remove the background", "Remove the text".
- Mood/atmosphere — "Make it more dramatic", "Add a warm glow".
Availability
AI Edit is available on all image layers except embroidery products (which use thread color mapping instead).
Tips
- Be specific — "Add a soft blue glow to the edges" works better than "make it better".
- AI Edit works best for style and color changes. For positioning or cropping, use the manual tools.
- You can chain multiple AI edits — apply one change, then apply another on top.
