Working with Layers
Layer management — types, ordering, cloning, mirroring, and cross-project import.
Working with Layers
Every design in Dripper is built from layers. Understanding how to manage layers is key to creating complex designs.
Layer Types
- AI Image — AI-generated artwork.
- Upload Image — Your own uploaded images.
- Text — Custom text with typography controls.
- Shape — Geometric shapes with fill, border, and texture.
- Color Layer — Solid color fill (applies across all placements).
- Pattern Layer — Repeating patterns (stripes, dots, plaid, etc.).
Layer Ordering
Layers stack on top of each other. The layer at the top of the list appears in front. Use the layer controls to bring layers forward or send them backward.
Cloning & Mirroring
- Clone — Create an exact duplicate of a layer within the same placement.
- Clone Mirror H — Duplicate and flip horizontally — useful for symmetrical designs.
- Clone Mirror V — Duplicate and flip vertically.
- Clone to All — Apply the current design to every visible placement at once. Saves time when you want the same design on front, back, and sleeves.
Re-Using Designs
You can copy designs between placements and projects:
- Re-Use a Design — Add a layer by copying from another placement in the same project.
- Cross-Project Import — Open another project and import its design layers into your current project.
Opacity & Positioning
Every layer supports opacity control (0-100%). Drag layers to reposition them, use resize handles to scale, and rotate as needed. The canvas shows alignment guides to help with precise placement.
