Adding text

  1. Click + and select Text.
  2. A text element appears on the canvas. Type your text to edit it.

Editing tools (11 tabs)

Text

Edit content, weight (normal/bold), style (normal/italic), alignment (left/center/right/justify), vertical alignment, line height, and letter spacing.

Font

Choose from 180+ Google Fonts across four categories: sans-serif, serif, display, and handwriting. Use the search bar to find fonts by name.

Fill

Text fill goes beyond flat color:

  • Solid color — Pick any color with the color picker or hex input.
  • Linear gradient — Two or more colors blending in a straight line.
  • Radial gradient — Colors radiating from a center point.
  • Image fill — Use an image as a clipping mask so your photo or texture shows through the text.

Effects

Text shadow, glow, stroke/outline (multiple stroke layers with individual colors and widths), bold, underline, and strikethrough.

Pattern

Tile the text element as a repeating pattern across the print area — grid, brick, or half-drop tiling modes.

Container

Wrap text in a styled container with:

  • Background color or gradient
  • Border (width, color, style)
  • Padding and corner radius
  • Container opacity

Path

Place text along a curved path — arc or circle. Great for badges, logos, and circular designs.

Resize, Move, Layer, Duplicate

Auto or manual resize modes, position adjustment, layer ordering, and cloning.

Tips for print text

  • Use high-contrast colors against the product color for readability.
  • Avoid very thin fonts — they may not reproduce well in print.
  • Preview your text on different product colors using the Product Color selector in the sidebar.
  • The Studio warns you if text overflows the available space.
